Minding My Blank is a lifestyle brand founded by Nakia and Kamari Mitchell, a dynamic mother-daughter duo from Atlanta, GA. Our mission is to empower individuals to express themselves at the highest level possible through our affirming apparel and canvases.

Kamari, an aspiring entrepreneur since a young age, embarked on her journey by creating kidpreneur-inspired bracelets and custom ornaments. Minding My Blank was born out of a transformative moment when I, Nakia, was reflecting limiting beliefs while Kamari embraced limitless possibilities. As a mother, I was dedicated to instilling confidence and self-belief in her, but I noticed that I wasn't always affirming myself in the same way. 

In May 2022, we proudly launched our T-shirt brand. It was then that I made the transition from being a high school educator to fully devoting my time to nurturing our black girl-owned small business.
